Mine design and planning inside the group
EDC Mining & Engineers is the mine-design company of the ShaftCon Group. It is led by CEO Deon Dempers, with Nichail Dempers as director, and both sit on the ShaftCon executive committee.
EDC brings the planning end of a project in-house: mine, construction and structural design, 3D modelling of declines and their ventilation, financial modelling and feasibility studies. Working alongside ShaftCon’s sinking and construction teams, the design is done by people who know how it will be built.
Its motto is blunt: you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
