ShaftCon Mali project

Where we work

ShaftCon Mali

Rehabilitating the Yalea decline at Barrick’s Loulo Mine — with a local team trained on the job.

ShaftCon Mali

Our team in West Africa

ShaftCon Mali is led by technical director Bouba Traoré, a partner on the ShaftCon executive committee. Its work is at Barrick’s Loulo Mine in western Mali, where ShaftCon has rehabilitated the Yalea decline since 2023, following procurement of equipment for the project from 2022.

Training is part of the job: local team members are trained on the job, and certificates have been presented on site.
